This 3 day adventure explorers many islands!
Day 1: Camp starts with a morning at the North County Aquatics Center taking a water safety class. Then by bus we return to ELC for a team building scavenger hunt, followed by a visit to the McLarty Treasure Museum on A-1-A.
Day 2: Starts with a 2 hour scavenger hunt canoe excursion, then a hike to learn the basics of geocaching by using Global Positioning System (GPS) devices. By bus we go to the beach for a 2 hour exploration and a visit to the Barrier Island Sanctuary in Brevard County.
Day 3: It’s an entire day on ELC’s 30 foot Coast Guard certified pontoon boat into Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge with a stop to plant mangrove trees. While off of the boat, we will also explore one of the many islands in the lagoon. We finish with water play at the Sebastian Inlet State.
Fee includes bus, canoe and pontoon boat excursions, seine net equipment, GPS use, and water safety class fee.
