Adventure Photography

December - January

"Helping people discover their own talent, style, and potential is very rewarding."
~ J. Scott Kelly

"I'm a snowbird taking pictures of snowbirds... and have come to deeply admire and respect their beauty, grace and discipline. Translating what you see birds doing into a captivating image requires patience and keen observation."
~Lou Lower

J. SCOTT KELLY Since 1985, full-time professional photographer J. Scott Kelly has had the privilege of traveling the world, capturing inspired images and priceless memories for his clients. A native Floridian, Scott grew up on the beaches of South Florida, where he was able to master his photography skills taking advantage of the abundant tropical scenery and warm climate. Combining his love of travel, his extensive photographic experience, as well as his sense of adventure, Scott is eager to share his knowledge with others who share the same passion. More than just another photographer with a camera and an eagerness to travel - he has the care and commitment to help you obtain great photographs and a travel experience you won't soon forget. Scott’s creative eye and exceptional talent has made him one of the area's most sought after professional photographers.

LOU LOWER Following his retirement from an executive career in investments and insurance, Lou Lower discovered photography as an activity that would "exercise both the left and right sides of my brain." Starting from scratch seven years ago, he turned to J. Scott Kelly for instruction in the technical disciplines of photography. Working with Scott, he began to discover how to harness all the camera's control dials to enhance the creative expression of what he wanted to convey in his images. No matter what the subject, his photography is enhanced by "chasing the light", planning to be at the right place at the right time. Lou describes looking through the lens, composing and waiting for the right moment as "being in a zone... a zone of awe"... as he works to translate his wonderment of a scene into an image that can be appreciated by others... as they have been at amateur photography shows with many award recognitions, including locally at the Vero Beach Museum of Art.
