ELC’s classic tour that takes you up-close for an intimate look at Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge, a protected bird rookery and the first designated national wildlife refuge in the country.
A perfect way to end the day! As the sun sets, sit back, relax and take in the beauty around you. Cruise the Indian River Lagoon to Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge and enjoy the incredible Florida twilight sky while watching the evening wildlife.
This boat tour takes you over to the Sebastian Inlet, an area with rich history and important habitat, especially to marine wildlife. Over 370 species of birds are seen in this area – some residents and some we only see in the winter. The Indian River Lagoon is also habitat for roughly 700 species of fish, including sharks and rays. Be on the look out for playful dolphin!
Take a cruise up the St. Sebastian River for a glimpse of what old Florida looked like. The jungle-like atmosphere is home to a great diversity of wildlife. Spot alligators, birds, and maybe even a manatee.
**This trip departs from Dale Wimbrow Park Boat Ramp in Sebastian, Fl. 11805 Roseland Road, Sebastian, FL 32958. This is the ONLY trip to depart from Dale Wimbrow Park.
APRIL – OCTOBER
Explore a spoil island in the middle of the Indian River Lagoon! This boat trip takes you on a scenic ride out to an island where we stop for exploration and time for swimming.
Our pontoon boat is available for private reservations for gatherings, birthday or wedding parties, and business or club outings.

Tours are subject to cancellation for weather or not reaching minimum of 6 passengers.
Children must be 6 years of age or older unless on Private Boat Trip (see details below. ELC has just one infant life vest (up to 30 lbs). Infant life vests must be USCG-approved commercial type 1 life vest).
All children under the age of 13 are required to wear a Type I life jacket for the duration of the water tour.
The ELC will supply life jackets, or if you prefer you are welcome to bring your own.
Binoculars are suggested.
All guests MUST check-in with ELC staff at our Welcome Center at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure.
All guests must be able to safely descend 3 steps on the dock ladder to pontoon boat (see image below).
You may bring your own food or beverage. We strongly encourage sustainable packaging.
Please take your trash off the boat with you.
This is a two-hour boat trip with no restroom on the boat.
To make your trip more comfortable: Bring a hat, sunscreen, and bug spray. Bring your own binoculars if you wish. Windbreakers and long pants are suggested for cool or windy days.
A minimum of 48 hours cancellation notice is required to receive a refund. If less than 48 hour notice is given, we will try to reschedule for another trip, though this cannot be guaranteed.
