ELC Presents Artist Derek Gores
Internationally acclaimed collage artist Derek Gores brings his lush pieces to the ELC. Formed of hundreds of scraps of recycled magazines, maps, and more, Gores’ works on canvas are an optical experience full of endless interpretations. From afar we see a fashionable heroine or a stylish take on tropical wildlife. Upon close inspection, we discover the mirage is built from words, patterns, and surprising windows into other images.
Gores’ client list includes the Kentucky Derby, Porsche, Rinascente of Italy, TAG Heuer, Loews South Beach, Playboy and many more. Gores was the first-ever Artist in Residence at the historic Hotel Bel-Air in Beverly Hills.
