GREENTEEN! PROGRAM

High School Volunteers

The ELC is seeking dedicated high school volunteers who will invest their time, energy & spirit into making the world a better place! We are looking for teens who are dedicated to learning, teaching, and advocating for the ELC and the environment.

Become an ELC GreenTeen!

ELC is truly an amazing place to build your knowledge on the environment, learn how to teach others about the amazing Indian River Lagoon ecosystem, and form lasting friendships with other teens. Our GreenTeens are an important part of our volunteer program, and while we know there are a lot of places you can volunteer, we are excited that you have chosen the ELC.

Program Overview

ELC is truly an amazing place to build your knowledge on the environment, learn how to teach others about the amazing Indian River Lagoon ecosystem, and form lasting friendships with other teens. Our GreenTeens are an important part of our volunteer program, and while we know there are a lot of places you can volunteer, we are excited that you have chosen the ELC.

There are three levels of GreenTeen volunteers, which each bring new volunteer opportunities and ways to help the ELC and the Indian River Lagoon. GreenTeens progress to each level by completing a required number of volunteer activities and hours. Each GreenTeen is responsible for accurately recording volunteer hours in order to progress from each level and for volunteer hour verification for school or scholarship requirements. *Please note: GreenTeens must track hours and provide any needed paperwork for volunteer hour verification required by school or scholarship programs. Please have hours verified by an ELC representative within six months of completion.
