Looking for something the kids can do this holiday break? Register for one or all of our popular hands-on, feet-wet camps that will keep them active and engaged, and outdoors! Register the entire family or drop off a bored kid. 

1/3/25 from 9 AM – 1 PMAges 6-16 ~ $50 per person / $45 for Members.

Activities may include: canoeing, boat excursions, spoil island swimming, dip-netting in the pond, survival skills, archery, and more!

Spend the holiday breaks exploring Florida’s great outdoors and learn about our unique estuary and coastal habitats along the Indian River Lagoon and the fascinating wildlife living in our own backyard. 

IMPORTANT: Campers must bring a reusable water bottle and eco-friendly lunch every day. Hats, bug spray and sun screen are strongly suggested.

Friday, January 3 from 9 AM – 1 PM

Ages 6-10: Turtles, Tortoises, & Terrapins – Learn all about these fascinating species, meet our ambassador reptiles, Nova the box turtle, and Argyle the terrapin turtle. Learn about Florida’s snakes and meet Cornelia Maize the corn snake. Create a tortoise craft inspired by our resident gopher tortoises, visit the Discovery Station aquariums, and go on an immersive Mangrove Marsh Walk.

Ages 10-16: The Magic of Mangroves – Gear up for canoeing the Indian River Lagoon and hidden mangrove tunnels! Go on a coastal walk, and create a photo frame craft.
