Margaret L (Clark) Klamm was born in Norristown, PA, on July 14, 1951. Known as Peg/Peggy to her friends and family, she grew up on Upper Ridge Road in suburban Philadelphia. She met and married Dennis Klamm in 1969 after meeting while surf fishing at the Jersey shore. After Dennis returned from serving in the Navy during the Vietnam War, they moved to Wisconsin with their daughter Jennifer (Jenny) and settled in Beaver Dam, WI, where Peggy began her 40-year career in banking.
Deciding they had enough of Wisconsin winters, they moved to Sebastian, FL, in 1996 and forever traded in snow boots for flip flops. Peggy spent weekends at the beach and in her garden, working to stay ahead of the wild Florida fauna. She loved the sound of the ocean, live music – especially opera, and reading British mystery novels. Peggy fed her love of travel by visiting cities from San Francisco to Savannah and twice traveled to Europe with their forever friends Carla and Dean. A perfect morning was coffee on the lanai while watching the hummingbirds and the brightly colored painted buntings, her favorite birds.
Peggy was grateful for the friendships and welcoming spirit of St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church where she was active in the alter guild. Her family is thankful for that sense of belonging and the ever-present support of the St. Elizabeth’s community before and during her illness. Peggy will be remembered for her interest in people’s stories, her kindness and commitment, and her appreciation of Florida’s natural beauty. Her daughter is thankful for everything she gave and shared and cannot imagine a better Mom.
Peggy is survived by her husband Dennis Klamm, daughter Jenny Klamm and son-in-law Patrick Zgarrick. She also says good-bye to her brother Bob Clark, Mary & Rick Thomas, nephews Jim Clark and Billy Clark, sister-in-law Rose Clark, nieces Su Clark (James Garcia) and Amy (Rob) Marotta, brother and sister-in-law Roger & Anita Klamm, nieces Kate (Scott) Quilling and Karisa (Craig) Sorenson, and ten great-nieces-and-nephews. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Alice Clark, her in-laws Ray and Fran Klamm, and her brother Bill Clark. She will be missed by her dear friends Carla Struble and Patti & Jerry Lauff with whom she shared many laughs, and many more friends & neighbors that have touched her lovely life.
