Talent Contest Rules

  1. Any student(s), grades K-12, may submit an application and ONE video submission. Students will be competing against others in the following categories: K-5, 6-8, 9-12. Students must be residents of Indian River County. 

  2. Any genre or talent is acceptable. Acts may include, but not limited to, singing (no lip-syncing), dancing/gymnastics, instrument playing, bands, ensembles and dance troupes (entering as one act), magic, juggling, live art, theatre/drama, comedy, etc.

  3. Each member of a group or ensemble will be required to complete a submission form. ONE video submission per group.

  4. No act will be considered if it does not meet the judges’ standards of appropriateness in terms of language, subject matter, and attire. Acts having ANY DOUBTS about the appropriateness of their material would be well advised to discuss this with the talent show committee BEFORE AUDITIONING. Please understand that what is seen on TV or in the movies is not necessarily appropriate in this setting. 

  5. Video submissions must be no longer than 2 minutes and submitted by September 15, 2020.
