Lagoonapalooza

An exciting new twist to our Nature Fest (fka EcoFest then LagoonFest), now with live bands at our Event Pavilion and in a cooler month! Join us for this free event that features dozens of environmental partners with tons of hands-on activities, food, pontoon or kayak trips, visits to the aquarium and touch tank, dip netting in the pond, plus some of the area’s best musical groups performing throughout the day.

Lagoonapalooza Bands

Dozens of environmental partners will offer interactive and educational crafts and activities for kids focused on sustainability and ecological awareness.

Kids can explore marine life up close by dip netting in the pond, discovering hidden aquatic creatures.

Pontoon Quick Trip

Explore the Indian River Lagoon aboard our ELC boat, Discover, with an immersive 45-minute pontoon boat tour.

From nature-inspired art stations to hands-on crafting with local materials, kids will get creative while learning about the natural world through engaging, eco-friendly craft activities.

Craft at Lagoonbase

Joe-Rassic Park will provide the opportunity to interact with turtles, tortoises, lizards, and even snakes. See, touch, and hold these amazing creatuares as you learn all about them and their place in our world.

Unwind and listen to live music while your children play in our engaging nature-inspired playground.

Water Side Picnic Area

Enjoy a scenic dining experience with picnic tables nestled beneath shaded trees, overlooking the lagoon. Bring your own picnic or grab some food on-site as you listen to live music in the distance.

Art & Poetry Contest

Do you have an original poem, slogan, or artwork that shares your love of the Indian River Lagoon and encourages people to be good stewards of it? We’d love to see it!

Contest Categories:

  • Poetic Waves: Original Poem or Slogan
  • Lagoon Love: Original Artwork
  • Ambassador Awareness: Create an artwork or poem that highlights one of our ELC Ambassadors (Nova the Box Turtle, Argyle the Terrapin, or Cornelia Maize the Red Rat Snake/Corn Snake)

Please submit any entries to barb@discoverelc.org and you may be eligible for recognition, including prizes or the display of your creation on ELC bags or shirts. Open to all ages, children and adults.
