Support Immersive Outdoor Environmental Education

Every summer, dozens of families reach out asking for help. They want to send their children to camp but cannot afford the full cost. With your support, we can say yes.

When you donate to the Maggy Bowman scholarship fund, you give a child the chance to canoe through mangroves, explore marine life, and discover the natural world in ways that can spark a lifetime of learning. Maggy Bowman’s greatest interest was environmental education and she saw a need for it in Indian River County, not only for the public school system but for the general public. She thought that children learned better through hands-on, feet-wet activities and was passionate about fostering a child’s care for the environment.

When she passed, ELC created the Maggy Bowman Scholarship Fund to provide financial assistance to children in Indian River CountyThis scholarship program was created in her honor and memory and includes donations from generous donors and grants.

Donate today. Your gift helps us open the outdoors to every child, regardless of their family’s financial situation.
