Restoring native plant habitats is vital to preserving biodiversity. By creating a native plant garden, each patch of habitat becomes part of a collective to nurture and sustain the living landscape for birds and other wildlife. They provide shelter and food for wildlife and pollinators. Native plants help reduce the need for fertilizers and pesticide use. Using fewer chemicals leads to a healthier Lagoon and a healthier you!
Want to purchase a native plant for your house or as a gift? Pick a plant and bring it to the ELC Welcome Center to purchase it. If you need additional information on which plant works best take a stroll through our native plant garden or just ask.
