Join a night with Kristin Skarie, author of the book, “A Year of Nothing New – Tools for Living Lean and Green”, chronicling a year of conscious consumption and a values realignment on how one spends their time, money, and energy. As a result, Kristin was the Green Living Expert for two years on the live, local morning show "Good Day Rochester” (NY) sharing tips for taking care of our planet and ourselves. Kristin works for the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida and is also the founder of Teamworks, a consulting company dedicated to building strong teams and leaders of integrity, positivity, and action.

Together we will learn tools for living a greener life and how to share them with our network in a positive and inclusive style!

Meet Kristin Skarie


Kristin Skarie is currently a Membership Manager with the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida. Her 35-year career path is grounded in higher education, along with healthcare and not-for-profit administration. She worked at six different educational institutions including Florida Atlantic University, University College London, and Semester at Sea, a "floating university", educating for global understanding through experiential learning.


Kristin is also the founder of Teamworks, a consulting company dedicated to building strong teams and leaders of integrity, positivity, and action. Her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education is from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Master of Science in Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs is from Indiana University-Bloomington.
