The ELC in Vero Beach is looking for local artists to volunteer for mural paintings. We have over 20 picnic tables that need a nature theme painted on them!
Nature artists wanted
The Environmental Learning Center campus is undergoing some renovations and with that came our new lagoon side area. This area is a peaceful tree covered spot overlooking the Indian River Lagoon and provides a place for our guests to relax and enjoy the view.
There are eight wooden picnic tables in this area that are in need of nature art murals. We are asking for artists in the Vero Beach area to volunteer their time to paint the tables. There is an application process and if we received many applications, we hope to expand the murals to another set of 20 picnic tables that are used for educational classes under our Discovery Station building.
Artist may also be eligible for up to $100 reimbursement for materials and labor upon written request if selected.
Please use the application form to apply. Call 772-589-5050 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Nature Art in Vero Beach
The Environmental Learning Center has become a hub for nature art in Vero Beach. Our rotating Artist Series exhibits attract visitors from the Treasure Coast and Space Coast in Florida. This exhibit has featured some of the premier artists in Vero Beach including Clyde Butcher, Lisa Rose, and the Orchid Island Art Club.
Every season new artists from a variety of media come to display their work in the ELC's Tidal and Lagoon Galleries. If you are interested in exhibiting your artwork learn more here.
