Donor Spotlight September 2020

Updated: Aug 31, 2020

The ELC could not continue to educate, inspire and empower our community without the generosity of our donors! This month we would like to highlight the hard work and dedication of David Cox, long time ELC donor and volunteer.

Help David's Blue Beard Campaign - DONATE HERE

Thank you David Cox for your time, talent and treasure!

David Cox is an ecologist expert in environmental resource assessment and planning for conservation, sustainable development, and education. His career as an ecological scientist has spanned over four decades, during which he has focused on using the best available science for preservation, conservation and improvement of natural resources, while also conveying through interpretation a sense of wonder and inspiration that our deep connection to nature brings.

For over 30 years David has been involved with the ELC in different capacities. When he was an ELC volunteer and staff Naturalist in the 1990’s, the kids dubbed him Dr. Dave. Then he served on the ELC Education Committee for many years while he also helped design and layout the boardwalk system and canoe dock. More recently, he was a member of the ELC Master Planning Group and has conducted environmental surveys, and worked on permitting for future improvements to the campus.

Now, Dr Dave wants to raise unrestricted funds for future successes of the ELC through the Dr. Dave’s Bluebeard Challenge. Help assure the future of the ELC by making him walk around as a true Bluebeard. DONATE HERE
