Love is in the Air. Get Outside this Valentine's Day!

Updated: Mar 23

Take a Hike & Have a Picnic

A walk with your significant other can be beneficial to your health by reducing stress and increasing energy and blood flow! It can also give you time to catch up on life or just be present with each other. The Environmental Learning Center has nearly two and a half miles of boardwalks and walking trails, giving you and your loved one time to decompress and have one-on-one time. In addition, there are plenty of spots to sit down and picnic while you immerse yourselves in nature.

Admire Works of Art

Stroll through two of our art galleries. In our Lagoon Room, there are 29 never before seen images in this area, by legendary photographer Clyde Butcher. These images are black and white works of art taken in the Florida Aquatic Preserves.

Go on a Romantic Pontoon Boat Tour

Glide over the Indian River Lagoon on our pontoon boat tour. See dolphin, pelican, manatee, roseate spoonbills and other wildlife as you float along the water. The ELC offers a variety of tours, including Pelican Island Tours, Manatee Spotting Tours, Sunset Tours and Private Tours. This is the perfect gift for your valentine!

Paddle on the Indian River Lagoon

Go on a paddle board adventure! Have a date right on the water. Rent a paddle board from the ELC and test your skills as you spend time with your loved one. We also have many other watersports rentals, including See Through Canoes, kayaks and more!
