The ELC is thrilled to offer a special month of Qigong with Ken Nelson, PhD and senior teacher at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. Join this ancient practice of "Chinese Yoga" which incorporates movement, breathing, and mindfulness.
What is Qi Gong?
We suffer from an epidemic of stress in our modern world, leading to an array of health problems for ourselves and our planet. Come and learn tools for everyday living. The ancient Chinese practice of qigong uses slow, rhythmic movement, breathing, and mindfulness to promote health, healing, and vitality.
Saturdays, February 6, 13, 20, 27
All are welcome. The practice can be done standing or seated. Bring comfortable clothes to move in & athletic/tennis shoes.
$12 for non-members
$10 for ELC members
Each Saturday in February at the ELC, Ken will lead participants in a gentle, accessible outdoor practice of qigong (& easy tai chi) designed to reduce stress and achieve a greater feeling of well-being and connection to the natural world. Benefits of the practice also include better balance, agility, stability, strength and enhanced attention. Join us and experience the feeling of being more calm, clear and connected.
Groups are limited to fifteen. Following each qigong session, Ken will be available for teachers and leaders interested in talking about how to integrate mind-body practices into their teaching.
