Red Bellied Woodpecker

The ELC has installed specialty bird boxes throughout the campus including 8 birdhouses, 1 Wood Duck Box, and 3 Osprey Platforms. Thanks to a generous sponsorship from the Treasure Coast Golf Course Superintendents Association, the bird boxes are monitored and maintained by Brian Beckner of Native Bird Boxes. On his most recent visit to the ELC campus on 5/5/2020, he found red bellied woodpeckers have nested in three of our bird boxes.
