Sculpture donation and naming contest at the ELC

Local artist Cathy Ferrell donated a beautiful sculpture to the ELC and we want you to name it!

About Cathy Ferrell

Cathy Ferrell’s work is exhibited and collected internationally, and found in public, private, museum, and corporate collections here and abroad. Cathy donated a beautiful Green Heron sculpture to the Environmental Learning Center.

"The ocean has always been the center of my life in Florida. I live on an island, with the Atlantic Ocean in front of me, the Indian River lagoon in my back yard, and the Archie Carr Turtle Refuge on either side. The ocean sounds, tropical colors, brilliant light and open spaces are all inspiration for my work."
