FREE for Indian River County children! A hands-on, feet-wet experience for
students in grades PreK to 1st grade and their caregivers. January 23, 2021, at 10 am and 1 pm.
Explore using your senses
This hour and a half program will have children using their senses to explore and observe around the ELC campus using STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) principles.
During our hands-on feet-wet exploration children will:
dip netting in our pond to collect and identify critters who live in this habitat
take a sensory stroll around campus to observe the wildlife and flora
create nature art with things we find along our stroll
This weekend workshop is made possible by support from the Children’s Services Advisory Committee.
The event is free for residents of IRC. Children participants must be in Pre-K through 1st grade. Children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. One caregiver may accompany more than one child, but max one caregiver per child is allowed. (For example, one parent can accompany three children, but no more than one adult with one child participant.)
Group size is limited to 10 participants, including children and caregivers.
There are two time slots on January 23:
10:00 - 11:30 am
1:00 - 2:30 pm
