White Peacock Butterfly (Anartia jatrophae)

Found in the southern parts of the US down to Argentina and through the West Indies

Commonly found in open, humid, weedy areas and along banks of rivers and ponds and lakes

Caterpillar stage 2-4 weeks

Pupa stage 7-14 days

Adult stage 1 to 4 months

Caterpillars host plant water hyssop, ruellia, and lippie

Adults eat nectar and petals
