Reveal the Writer in You: A Hands-On Workshop

Calling all aspiring and seasoned writers! If you’ve ever wanted to explore the art of storytelling, enhance your writing skills, and gain expert insights, mark your calendar for March 29th. The Environmental Learning Center (ELC) in Vero Beach is hosting an engaging Lunch and Learn Writing Workshop led by accomplished writer and editor Cricket Freeman. Open to participants from high school level and up.

What to Expect from the Workshop

Whether you write fiction or nonfiction, this workshop is designed to help you:
Discover what captivates readers and keeps them engaged
Find your unique voice and storytelling style
Explore new perspectives on your work and develop its full potential
Gain professional insight from an experienced author, editor, and literary agent

This interactive, hands-on session welcomes participants of all levels. Come prepared to write, share, and learn in a relaxed, supportive environment—or simply listen and absorb the knowledge.

To foster a collaborative atmosphere, seating will be arranged in a U-shape with tables available for writing. Bring your favorite writing tools—laptop, notebook, pen, pencil, or even crayon—and prepare for a fun, insightful session. Open to participants from high school level and up.

Cricket’s writing career began in the 1980s on an Olympia typewriter, and she has since navigated the evolution of publishing from print to digital. A storyteller at heart, she understands the joys and challenges of the writing process—and is ready to help you uncover your best work.
