September 24th-30th is International Take A Child Outside Week! In honor of nature exploration and the many benefits that children receive through enriching outdoor play, we invite parents, grandparents and guardians of children ages 18 months – 4 years old to enjoy a FREE event at the Environmental Learning Center in Vero Beach, Florida on Wednesday, September 25th from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Activities include an interactive story time, nature craft, pond dip-netting and water exploration, and access to the ELC’s Discovery Station museum and touch tank. Adults will also receive take-home information on the importance of outdoor nature exploration and play, along with suggested outside activities that can be enjoyed with their children, and a free scavenger hunt printout.

Take A Child Outside Week is an international initiative created by The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, and inspired by Richard Louv’s award winning book, Last Child in the Woods.

Registration is required. Sign-up today for this free event!
