The Environmental Learning Center hosts thousands of visitors yearly and is always in need of some TLC. Leave your mark and support our campus improvement program to revamp our well utilized campus. Campus Buildings

Available buildings can be named after an individual, family, business, or corporation. Schidel Education & Event Pavilion, The Discovery Station, Tidal Gallery, Lagoon Room, Nature Nook, and Admin Office all have various features that may be named.

Boardwalk Planks

Your message will inspire people who walk our campus and share a passion for the environment. Plank may include up to 43 – 45 characters including spaces or icons, icons require 3 spaces. The engraving will be in the Arial font. You can expect your plank to be placed within 6 months of initial donation. Engraved plank $1,100

Boat Dock

Boat Dock Posts

Our boat dock has been rebuilt using recycled, sustainable materials and we couldn’t be more excited! Over 4,000 guests launch from our dock annually to enjoy our award winning and educational Pontoon Boat Eco-Tours. In fact, for over 30 years this dock has been a community location for fishing, wildlife viewing, and education programs. Plaque on post $2,500

Covered Picnic Areas and More

Claim one of our covered picnic areas as your special place of support. Picnic tables, benches, and trees can also be named. Plaques on benches are $500, and plaques on picnic tables are $750.

Replacement Policy: 

  • The ELC Facilities Manager will evaluate boards and plaques after five years of display. If determined by our Facilities Manager that the board/plaque needs to be replaced, the Development team will notify the corresponding donor about the need for replacement. 
  • The ELC is not financially responsible for replacement of engraved planks or plaques. 
  • The donor will be given the opportunity to renew their particular plank/plaque at the price set at the time of replacement. 
  • If the donor does not wish to renew, the space will then be forfeited and made available to the next applicant. 
  • The planks/plaques may be removed at any time for maintenance and/or repair at the donor’s expense. 
  • The ELC team is committed to working with donors to ensure satisfaction.
