Trumpet Vine

Trumpet Vine (campsis radicans) is a native plant of the southeastern United States and occurs primarily in riverine forests, as well as in mesic & xeric hammock. Known for its stunning, trumpet-shaped flowers, this vigorous climber can reach impressive heights, often scaling trees or structures with ease.

The blooms, typically a fiery orange or red, attract a variety of pollinators, including hummingbirds and bees, and it is the larval host for the Plebeian Sphinx moth (Paratraea plebeja).
