Pelican Island Tours

Our classic pontoon tour takes you by Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge and mangrove islands where birds, manatees, and dolphins gather.  
 

Feathers and Fins Pontoon Tours

The Feathers and Fins Indian River Lagoon Tour goes to the Sebastian Inlet.  From the ELC to the Sebastian Inlet section supports an impressive diversity of life.  The area has a rich history and provides important habitat, especially to marine wildlife.

FEATHERS.  We will be looking for the year-round species of birds including; Brown Pelicans, Little Blue Herons, White Ibis, Roseate Spoonbills, Brown Pelicans, Little Blue Herons, White Ibis, Snowy Egrets, and many more.  Over 370 species of birds are seen in this area – some residents and some we only see in the winter.

FINS. The Indian River Lagoon provides habitat to roughly 700 species of fish, including sharks and rays. Sign up for a Feathers and Fins Pontoon Tour and learn so much more from our knowledgeable guides.

Guided Sunset Pelican Island Pontoon Tours

A perfect way to end the day! As the sunsets, board our pontoon boat to sit back, relax and take in the beauty around you on our Twilight Pontoon Tours. Cruise on the Indian River Lagoon to Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge and enjoy the incredible Florida twilight sky while watching the evening wildlife.

 

Scenic Sebastian River Trip

Seasonal Tour

Take a cruise up the Saint Sebastian River for an idea of what old Florida looked like.  The jungle-like atmosphere and protected areas of Saint Sebastian are home to a great diversity of wildlife. Spot an alligator, a variety of birds, and maybe even a manatee.

 

**This trip departs from Dale Wimbrow Park Boat Ramp in Sebastian, Fl.  This is the ONLY trip to depart from Dale Wimbrow Park, all other ELC pontoon trips depart from the ELC.

Tour Details:

  • This tour departs from the Dale Wimbrow Park Boat Ramp, 11805 Roseland Road, Sebastian, FL 32958  

  • These are group tours and need a minimum of 6 guests for the tour to launch.

  • Tours are subject to cancellation for weather or demand.

  • Children must 6 years of age or older.

  • All children under the age of 13 are required to wear a Type I life jacket for the duration of the water tour. The ELC will supply life jackets, or if you prefer you are welcome to bring your own.

  • Binoculars are suggested.

Spoil Island Splash Tours

APRIL - OCTOBER

Explore a spoil island in the middle of the Indian River Lagoon!  This trip takes you on a scenic ride out to an island where we stop for exploration and time for swimming.

Private Pontoon Tours

Our pontoon boat is available for private reservations for a family or friends gathering, birthday or wedding party, business or club outing,

What you need to know:

  • Advance reservations required.

  • All guests MUST check-in with ELC staff at our Guest Services Building at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure.

  • All guests must be able to safely descend dock ladder to pontoon (3 steps).

  • If you are interested in a different day, we might be able to accommodate. Please call Guest Services at (772) 589-5050.

  • The boat accommodates a maximum of 16 guests, with a minimum of 6 passengers required. 

  • Tours are subject to cancellation for weather or demand.

  • You may bring your own food or beverage. We strongly encourage sustainable packaging.

  • Children must be 6 years of age or older.

  • All children under the age of 13 are required to wear a Type I life jacket for the duration of the water tour. The ELC will supply life jackets, or if you prefer you are welcome to bring your own.

  • The minimum recommended age is six, as this is a two-hour boat trip with no restroom. ELC has just one infant (up to 30 lbs) life vest. Infant life vests must be USCG-approved commercial type 1 life vest.

To make your trip more comfortable: Bring a hat, sunscreen, and bug spray.  Bring your own binoculars if you wish. Windbreakers and long pants are suggested for cool or windy days. 

A minimum of 48 hours cancellation notice is required to receive a refund. If less than 48 hours notice is given, we will try to reschedule for another trip, though this cannot be guaranteed. A failure to meet the minimum of 6 passengers on the pontoon boat may lead to cancellation.
