Youth Environmental Leaders Corps (Y-ELC)

The ELC is seeking middle and high school students who want to learn from environmental experts and advocate for nature. We are looking for teens who are dedicated to learning, leading, serving and inspiring.

ELC is truly an amazing place to build your knowledge of the environment, learn how to teach others about the amazing Indian River Lagoon ecosystem, and form lasting friendships with other teens. 

In the words of Jane Goodall: “You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”

Program Eligibility

In order to qualify for the Y-ELC program, the following requirements must be met: 

  • Be between the ages of 13 and 18

  • Complete a Y-ELC online registration

  • Open Membership - Participate in one or any number of sessions
