New Entrance Guidelines
effective June 29, 2020
The health and safety of our community has been, and will continue to be ELC’s primary focus. Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in Indian River County, we have closed our indoor facilities and are collecting admission fees on an honor system. Please book your entry online or text ADMIT to 772-238-5424 for the admission button link.
Enjoy our beautiful 64-acre nature center and enjoy all of the benefits nature has to offer!
Though the indoor facilities are closed, the ELC has plenty of activities for guests to enjoy. Guests may register for a paid, guided experience. The experiences available are pontoon boat tours, water sports rentals, nature reiki, walking meditation in the butterfly garden or a family lagoon island adventures!
Our surroundings are especially beautiful because they provide a natural habitat for birds, fish, crustaceans, and mammals of many kinds. The Indian River Lagoon, the waters that surround our campus, is home to more than 4,300 different species of plants and animals, 36 of which are endangered or rare. It is one of the most bio-diverse estuaries in North America and according to the Environmental Protection Agency, is named an Estuary of National Significance.
All-terrain wheelchairs are perfect for getting around campus. Please bring someone to push, or call (772) 589-5050 if you need assistance.
Look for cool creatures and plants as you roam!
Check out an adventure backpack at the front desk of our Welcome Center. Discover the ELC using the tools in the bag!
